The XRP Ledger amendment fixCleanup340 is now expected to activate on November 4 at 14:46 UTC, after validator support briefly dipped below the required threshold and restarted the approval process. The fix required at least 29 of the 35 validators trusted by default; that level was reached Monday, keeping an October 23 launch on schedule, but backing fell to 26 on Wednesday at 12:54 UTC. Support returned to 29 by 14:46 UTC, beginning a fresh 14-day countdown, and has since climbed to 31. Activation requires maintaining at least 29 approving validators through checkpoints about every 15 minutes for two weeks; a server outage or ill-timed restart can remove a validator from the tally without an opposing vote.
