Privacy Policy
How CryptoHypeBuster handles data. Last updated: October 2026.
This policy explains what data cryptohypebuster.com ("CryptoHypeBuster", "we") processes, why, and what your options are. Questions and requests: [email protected].
1. What we collect
- Server logs. For every request, our web server records the IP address, user agent, timestamps and requested URL to operate and secure the service and to detect abuse. This is our legitimate interest; logs are short-lived and not used to profile you.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate usage. Analytics cookies load only after your consent (Consent Mode: denied by default). Data is processed by Google under its own terms; you can read Google's privacy policy.
- Advertising cookies. When ads are shown, Google AdSense may set cookies on the site and on Google domains, including consent-based personalization. Ad personalization only runs if you consent. You can review or change choices at adssettings.google.com or any time via the cookie banner.
- Account data (optional). If you optionally sign in (via Clerk), we process the identity data Clerk provides (typically e-mail address and account identifier) to provide account features: alerts, dashboards, and Telegram notifications. This is contract/legitimate interest depending on feature.
- Browser storage of your preferences. Watchlists and pinned stories are stored in your browser (localStorage), not on our servers, for visitors without an account. You can clear them via cookie banner or browser settings.
2. Cookies and consent
On first visit, a banner asks whether to allow non-essential cookies (analytics, advertising). Only essential cookies (security, session for signed-in users) are set without consent. For visitors in the EU/EEA/UK, consent display and revocation follow applicable regulations; you can revisit the choice at any time from the privacy link in the cookie notice area or by clearing site data.
3. Who gets data
We do not sell data. We use: hosting and origin servers (our own infrastructure); Cloudflare (visitor access, DDoS protection and TLS termination); Google Analytics 4 (usage analysis, consent-based); Google AdSense (ad serving, consent-based); Clerk (authentication for optional accounts); Telegram (only if you connect a chat for notifications).
4. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g. EU/EEA or UK GDPR), you have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and objection. To exercise them, e-mail [email protected] — we answer as required by applicable law.
5. International transfers
Our infrastructure and providers are located outside your country, potentially including the United States. Transfers rely on applicable safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses with providers where needed).
6. Changes
We update this policy as the service changes; the date at the top reflects the latest version.
