On Oct. 22, 2026, crypto analyst Darkfost reported that XRP whales moved $112.4 million to the Binance exchange, the highest such inflow in seven months, a sign of increased selling pressure from large holders. Darkfost defines whales as transactions exceeding 1 million XRP; large transfers to exchanges can precede sales because tokens can be sold there quickly. The inflow surge followed a more than 30% rebound in XRP since August, while recent data showed inflows returning to more normal levels, suggesting the heaviest selling may have eased. XRP traded near $1.33, within a 24-hour range of $1.32 to $1.40, with a market capitalization near $84 billion, as analysts watched whether it could break $1.40 or fall toward $1.26.
