Strive CEO Matt Cole argued in an October 2026 thesis that gold and Bitcoin can keep outperforming the dollar as money-supply growth and rising debt erode purchasing power, and he said Strive’s structure should magnify Bitcoin exposure without adding risks that undermine the strategy. He compared gold’s 9.0% annualized return since 1970 with 6.7% for U.S. M2, a money-supply measure, widening to 18.3% versus 6.5% since 2020, while Bitcoin returned 43.13% annually over that period. On Oct. 13 and 14, Strive disclosed Bitcoin purchases that lifted its holdings to 35,595 BTC, worth about $2.9 billion. Bitcoin traded near $83,000 but was down about 23% from a year earlier and 34% below its record above $126,000.
