Metaplanet, a Tokyo-listed Japanese corporate Bitcoin holder led by CEO Simon Gerovich, disclosed on November 2, 2026 that it used cash on hand to retire its entire ¥8 billion 20th Series of Ordinary Bonds before their April 23, 2027 maturity. The zero-interest notes were held by EVO FUND, and the early repayment frees ¥8 billion for Bitcoin purchases, lifting a ¥25.4 billion planned purchase line to ¥33.4 billion while the overall total remains ¥37.1 billion. The company also reported that its buyback program, approved October 13, 2026 for up to ¥60 billion or 200 million shares through October 13, 2027, had reached about 42% of capacity after spending ¥25,269,031,500 on 96,447,400 shares from October 14 to 31.
