Bitcoin fell toward $75,700 after Democrats won control of the Senate in the 2026 midterm elections, then recovered to $77,700 during Asian trading while remaining under pressure. Democrats won Senate races in Texas, Ohio, North Carolina, Kansas and South Carolina; the House remained closely contested. The shift raises uncertainty for President Donald Trump’s crypto agenda and the Digital Asset Market CLARITY Act, which failed a Senate procedural vote in September by falling short of 60 votes. Nasdaq 100 futures fell as much as 2.3% and S&P 500 futures 1.3%, while the 10-year Treasury yield slipped six basis points to about 4.90%.
