IPX, formerly LINE FRIENDS, plans to add a minicoin payment option at LINE FRIENDS online and offline stores, with a phased rollout targeted for the first half of 2027 in Korea and abroad. Customers could use minicoin, a utility coin issued by Mini Labs under an IPX license for its minini character IP, to buy physical merchandise. Its blockchain system is intended to record fan interactions with IP and link them to registration and settlement. The service is aimed partly at international visitors and overseas fans; K-POP SQUARE in Seoul’s Hongdae district drew more than one million visitors in its first year after opening in June 2025, about 80% from outside Korea and spanning over 90 countries.
