IPX, the company formerly known as LINE FRIENDS, announced on Nov. 5, 2026 that it plans to add minicoin as a payment option at LINE FRIENDS’ online and physical stores, with a phased rollout targeted for the first half of 2027. Minicoin is a utility coin issued by Mini Labs under a license from IPX to use its minini character intellectual property; its blockchain system is designed to record interactions between IP and fans, including creation, consumption and transactions, and connect them to registration and settlement. The service is planned for stores in Korea and abroad and is intended to give international visitors and overseas fans another way to buy merchandise.
