A DefiLlama report estimated that roughly 129 million of the 145 million FXRP tokens in circulation, almost 90%, were held in decentralized finance applications. FXRP is a Flare token tied to XRP, introduced in September 2025 via Flare's FAssets system to let XRP holders use decentralized finance; Flare is an Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible Layer 1 network centered on decentralized data infrastructure. Lending venues were the biggest destination, including Morpho and Kinetic on Flare, Morpho on Ethereum and Euler on Monad, with many holders using the token as collateral to borrow. Around 20 million FXRP sat outside Flare, five times the July figure, and the token had reached seven networks as a LayerZero Omnichain Fungible Token.
