ZEC slips as Helius founder ties Anthropic's FlashProve to Zcash

Zcash fell about 5.9% over 24 hours to roughly $1,190 as the wider crypto market also declined, and Helius founder Mert Mumtaz said on X that Anthropic’s new FlashProve tool uses the same cryptography Zcash pioneered. Anthropic released FlashProve on November 2 as an open-source research prototype; it uses a hash-based zkSNARK to prove an AI answer came from a specific model without revealing the model’s weights. Zcash launched in October 2016 based on the 2014 Zerocash paper. Alessandro Chiesa, who co-wrote that paper, is listed as a FlashProve contributor.
