Zcash’s major network upgrade NU7 goes live on mainnet, cutting block time by threefold

On mainnet, Zcash has activated NU7, a network upgrade that reduces block times by threefold and introduces the Network Sustainability Mechanism, which pulls 60 percent of transaction fees collected per block out of circulation.
