On-chain researcher ZachXBT warned that FreedomXMR, a laundering service launched on Hyperliquid Core in August, is being used to move funds from notable exploits into privacy coins. He traced about $20 million from exploit wallets through the platform and said more than 87% of its inflows are tied to illicit activity, including ransomware, malware and social-engineering incidents and hacks involving the DCent wallet, Fetch.ai, Axelar and Gamdom. FreedomXMR sources Monero from KuCoin and has been linked to 3,000 transfers with the exchange; its hot wallet held just over $500,000 as of October after funds were moved out quickly. Hyperliquid Core is permissionless and does not control such services, and ZachXBT shared the tracked addresses with its team.
