Trezor warned customers who bought hardware wallets from CryptoBilis on or after March 2026 to move funds to a new wallet with a new seed, citing a possible implant in a Trezor Safe 5. CryptoBilis had been an official Trezor reseller in Southeast Asia until October 2026, and Trezor called the report credible though it had not received the device. On October 28, an Indonesian customer who bought a Safe 5 through Tokopedia in August reported an extra circuit board with a cellular module and antenna that could read the screen, including the backup, and transmit it over a mobile network. Trezor said no stolen funds had been reported and eligible buyers could get a replacement or voucher.
