Vandell Aljarrah, co-founder of Black Swan Capitalist, argued in a recent post on X that XRP’s roughly two-year period of sideways trading before a 62,000% rally in 2017–2018 illustrates why holders should endure stagnant markets. XRP traded between about $0.004 and $0.011 for roughly 742 days before breaking out in 2017 and peaking in January 2018, a 630-fold increase. Some commenters put the historic gain near 64,000%, using an estimated $0.006 starting price and $3.84 peak, while Aljarrah said the percentage depends on the starting price and exchange data and could reach about 119,000% from 2014 lows. At the time of writing, XRP was worth $1.31, down 5.2% and about 64% below its $3.65 all-time high.
