Aviva’s two tokenized share classes, sterling and dollar, held more than £86 million combined as of October 26, following the July 29 launch of a dollar class on the XRP Ledger after Central Bank of Ireland approval. A share class is a separate line of shares in the same fund, here represented by blockchain tokens; the combined tokenized total remains under 0.4% of Aviva’s £22 billion Sterling Liquidity Fund. BNY Mellon holds the fund’s assets, Komainu provides digital custody, and Licuido supplies tokenization technology. Investors must pass know-your-customer and anti-money-laundering checks, and the dollar tokens are not freely transferable. Subscriptions buy fund shares, not XRP.
