Worldcoin (WLD) Jumps 9% Daily: What Happened and What’s Next?

On October 20, Worldcoin’s WLD token rose to its highest level in a week, briefly reaching nearly $0.55 before trading around $0.53. Its market capitalization passed $2 billion, making it the 50th-largest cryptocurrency after moving ahead of Polkadot, Aster and other altcoins. The move followed Worldcoin’s introduction of World ID for banking and finance, an identity-verification suite aimed at institutions; the disclosure cited collaborations with Pantera Capital, VanEck Funds and Bain Capital. The token’s Relative Strength Index, which measures the speed and size of price changes on a 0-100 scale, stood at about 72, above the 70 level used to signal overbought conditions.
