Lighter’s LIT token climbed 12.85% over 24 hours and 23.49% over seven days to $3.83, the biggest gain among the 100 largest cryptocurrencies, while the broader market dropped more than 2%. Delphi Digital published an October 20 report recommending ownership of platforms that earn trading fees or distribute users rather than the assets traded; it named Lighter alongside Robinhood and Hyperliquid and cited Lighter’s zero retail fees and distribution through Robinhood Wallet, which has offered its perpetual futures, a type of derivative, outside the US since July. Lighter founder Vladimir Novakovski said the company will apply to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission in November. LIT remains below its $7.86 all-time high set on December 30, 2025, when its airdrop went live.
