Verizon signs $2 billion cloud infrastructure deal with AWS after lifting forecasts

Verizon signed an AI infrastructure agreement with Amazon Web Services worth more than $2 billion, under which Verizon will provide high-speed fiber links to AWS data centers to handle the large data volumes AI systems process. The deal follows a separate agreement earlier this year in which Verizon agreed to connect Google data centers with fiber for over $1 billion. Verizon also reported third-quarter results and raised its 2026 outlook for a third consecutive quarter, lifting its full-year forecast for postpaid phone customer additions to between 1.1 million and 1.2 million from 750,000 to 1 million.
