VanEck analysts, led by senior researcher Mathew Sigel, issued a report today forecasting that Bitcoin could reach $500,000 between 2030 and 2035, a roughly fivefold gain in the medium term. The report said Bitcoin would need to reach about half of gold's market capitalization, around $14 trillion, requiring about a 5.6x rise over five to 10 years and not necessarily within the current cycle. VanEck described Bitcoin as early in a bull market and noted it rose more than 40% in the third quarter, outperforming the S&P 500 and gold. Its long-term outlook cited adoption by younger customers in emerging markets and institutional accumulation, with scenarios of $3 million by 2050 and $300,000 to $5 million by 2035 if adoption and wealth transfer continue.
