THORChain said on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, that swaps had resumed on 11 blockchains, including Bitcoin, Ether, Tron and RUNE, after its 3.21.1 node update. Solana, BNB Chain and Cosmos remained halted with no return time. Public node data at 10:12 UTC showed 103 of 111 active nodes running 3.21.1 and eight on 3.21.0; THORChain said all active nodes needed the update to address swapping performance issues. The 3.21.1 release is a Bifrost-only private binary patch, and Bifrost monitors and signs transactions on linked chains. The restart followed an October 31 incident in which THORChain refunded 10 ETH after an Ethereum block reorganization erased a user deposit, prompting a solvency check and a halt across 10 of 13 connected chains.
