Raymond Christian Garcia and Isiah Angelo Garcia, brothers from Waller, Texas, were sentenced to 180 and 186 months in federal prison, respectively, for a September 19, 2025, armed home invasion in Grant, Minnesota, that forced a family to transfer more than $8 million in cryptocurrency. U.S. District Judge Donovan W. Frank imposed the combined 366 months on Thursday after both pleaded guilty on June 18 to one count each of interference with commerce by robbery, a federal robbery charge. The brothers held the family at gunpoint for over nine hours, binding them with zip ties, and directed the father to send funds to a wallet they controlled; they also agreed to pay more than $8 million in restitution.
