Sony Soneium Coin: PlayStation and GTA 6 Crypto Twist?

On October 26, Soneium, a blockchain ecosystem tied to Sony Group’s Web3 strategy, announced plans to introduce its ecosystem-native token, SONEIUM. The company says the token would connect entertainment intellectual property, creators, developers, fans and investors through an on-chain economy. Soneium already supports more than 250 applications in categories such as gaming, music, anime, film, collectibles and fan creations, with its next phase centered on tokenized IP. Its first project is Moriusa, a character IP from Tokyo-based Super State Holdings, and Soneium plans to work with K-pop IP company DayOneDream on tokenizing concert-business royalties.
