Robinhood Chief Financial Officer Shiv Verma said Monday that the brokerage will participate in Anthropic’s initial public offering and wants retail investors to receive larger allocations, though issuers and their banks decide the split. Verma said retail historically received 1% to 5% of IPOs while companies now consider 10% or 20%, citing retail’s roughly 25% share of the equities market. Anthropic told investors third-quarter revenue reached $16.8 billion, nearly 12 times a year earlier, and its amended filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission lists about $895 billion in committed spending. Robinhood cannot take orders until the offering opens, and a pre-listing quiet period limits what Verma can disclose.
