Revolut said on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, that customers’ money and data were safe after a Google Cloud outage disrupted card payments, transfers and ATM withdrawals. The London-based digital bank, with more than 80 million personal customers and over 800,000 business accounts, said engineers were working on the problem and did not say how many customers were affected or when full service would return. Google reported failures in its europe-west2 region from 23:08 PDT on Monday; Revolut’s status page listed 28 partly unavailable services, and Downdetector recorded more than 1,500 reports. The disruption came a year after an AWS outage hit Coinbase, Robinhood and Lloyds Bank, and a month after Revolut disclosed a breach in which hackers demanded $3 million.
