Postquant Labs has launched the Quip Virtual Machine, a single programming layer intended to run programs across quantum annealers, gate-based quantum computers and ordinary classical hardware. The QVM is live on the company’s Aglais testnet, with free compute credits for new users, and prices computation through an Ethereum-style gas model. Postquant said costs are fixed before deployment based on qubit space, runtime and entanglement requirements. Alongside it, the company released its first quantum smart contracts and QuipSwap, a settlement layer for quantum-resistant payments. It also described 1,930 portfolio-optimization races at Quantum.Tech in which the quantum solver performed at least as well as the classical solver in every contest.
