OKX, a global cryptocurrency exchange, marked four years of its Proof of Reserves program with $36.36 billion in on-chain assets across 22 major cryptocurrencies. It reported reserves at or above 100% for every covered asset, including 110% for Bitcoin, 100% for Ethereum, 105% for Tether and 101% for USD Coin. Since introducing monthly reporting and independent verification in November 2022, OKX has used publicly accessible wallet data and cryptographic verification including zk-STARKs, letting customers verify holdings without exposing sensitive account information. The anniversary followed the October 2026 launch of OKX Shield in the U.S. and Europe, offering eligible customers protection against unauthorized third-party account takeovers with potential reimbursement up to $500,000 at no additional fee.
