OKX Brings OKX Shield to the U.S., Adding Up to $500,000 in Account Protection

OKX announced the U.S. launch of OKX Shield, an account-protection program offering eligible American customers up to $100,000 if an unauthorized third party takes over their account and transfers assets, with no subscription or activation fee. Qualifying VIP 1–3 customers can receive up to $250,000, and VIP 4+ customers up to $500,000. To activate, customers must enable a passkey, large withdrawal protection, block web withdrawals and transaction verification; OKX Shield also checks linked devices for malware, rooting or jailbreaking and guides remediation. Protection stays active while those safeguards remain in place and covers eligible incidents including phishing, malware and SIM-swap attacks.
