Anthropic would receive $45 billion in artificial intelligence computing capacity from Nscale under a proposed agreement being negotiated, expanding the companies’ existing partnership. The deal would support Nscale’s bid for a $30 billion valuation before a planned initial public offering and center on a second building at its Monarch data center campus in West Virginia. That facility would supply 460 megawatts using Nvidia’s next-generation Vera Rubin chips, and Anthropic is expected to get a right of first refusal on a planned third building there, meaning it could claim that space before other users. Anthropic agreed in August to pay $45 billion for cloud capacity at Monarch, while Nscale’s listing documents put its Anthropic infrastructure agreements at up to $44.6 billion.
