Alphabet, Goldman Sachs and Microsoft have become the latest U.S.-listed companies to object to tokenized versions of their shares trading on OKXICE, raising the number of objectors to 16. OKXICE is a not-yet-live 50-50 venture between crypto exchange OKX and Intercontinental Exchange, the parent of the NYSE. It plans to operate under an SEC Innovation Exemption, a five-year order issued September 17 and expiring September 17, 2031, allowing permissioned on-chain venues to trade tokenized U.S.-listed stocks without exchange registration. The venue must warn a company at least 30 days before trading its tokenized stock; a written objection within that window keeps the token off that venue, while silence is treated as consent.
