LIVE: Wall Street crashes and rebounds after Democrats snatch US House and Senate in historic midterms election

After Democrats won control of the House and Senate and scored major gubernatorial victories including in Texas, Trump accepted the election results and said Republicans would work with Democrats despite tensions over tariffs and the Iran war. Dow futures rose 912 points, or 1.75%, while S&P 500 futures gained 0.8%; Nasdaq-100 futures lagged as AI stocks weakened. Crypto stocks were mixed: Coinbase rose 5.53%, while Block, PayPal and MercadoLibre fell.
