The Office of Justin Sun announced a pilot of the Justin Sun Prize with MathDB, a mathematical research platform led scientifically by Caltech professor Tony Yue Yu and his team. The pilot covers 50 problems across four award levels, with problem-level prizes reaching $1 million and awards subject to eligibility checks and anti-money-laundering and sanctions compliance. MathDB will receive solutions, verify Lean formalizations—machine-checkable proof code—and review explanatory materials, while the prize program separately decides eligibility, attribution, priority and award terms. Rewards are divided 50% for the solution, 30% for Lean formalization and 20% for qualifying exposition; the top tier includes P versus NP and the Riemann Hypothesis.
