Initia restarted its layer-1 blockchain and connected rollups on Monday, Nov. 2, ending a shutdown that began Oct. 23 after attackers exploited a MoveVM flaw and withdrew about $2.7 million. The project restored service after a chain upgrade applied an independently audited patch, added security measures and cut off forged balances tied to the attacker, without rolling back the network. Cross-chain bridge and trading-platform transfers were scheduled to resume Monday, with withdrawals subject to set limits; Initia said full backing was restored for AUSD0, USDC.n and WETH. The Initia Foundation approved 1:1 funding to cover bridge losses, while Agora froze addresses linked to the hacker.
