HYPE Holders Get a Binance Withdrawal Date, but No Reason for the Wait

Binance said on Friday that withdrawals of Hyperliquid’s HYPE token should reopen by the end of next week, after a freeze that began Oct. 29 when the exchange reported a security breach affecting an estimated $6.3 billion in funds. The token remains sellable on Binance but cannot be moved to private wallets or other exchanges. Binance’s Nov. 5 update said it ranks tokens by recent user demand and runs security checks, and it later named HYPE among assets to be restored by the deadline without giving a reason. HYPE runs on Hyperliquid’s own blockchain, which Binance said it checks separately.
