HYPE Price Jumps 8% as NYSE Owner Plans US Hyperliquid Perps

ICE, a major futures exchange operator, plans to launch a U.S. market for Hyperliquid perpetual futures and take an equity stake in operator Trade.xyz, under a plan disclosed on October 29. The planned market, pending regulatory approval, would use Hyperliquid’s infrastructure with its own clearing, know-your-customer and anti-money-laundering systems. Trade.xyz lists perpetual futures tied to stocks, equity indices, commodities and currencies under Hyperliquid’s HIP-3 framework, which requires builders to stake 500,000 HYPE locked for at least 183 days. ICE is buying equity in Trade.xyz, not HYPE, and gains no ownership of the Hyperliquid network.
