TeraWulf said on Wednesday, November 4, that Google LLC, an Alphabet subsidiary, will back $19 billion in lease commitments to Anthropic at its Justified campus in Hawesville, Kentucky, to help finance the development. TeraWulf, a bitcoin miner shifting to AI infrastructure, signed the 20-year Anthropic lease in July for about 401 megawatts, with contracted revenue estimated at $19 billion and potentially $33 billion through two five-year extensions. Alphabet’s support rests on senior unsecured debt rated AA+ by S&P Global and Aa2 by Moody’s, which TeraWulf says should lower borrowing costs. TeraWulf also announced a Fluor Enterprises agreement to build three data center buildings; service is planned for the second half of 2027 and full capacity for early 2028.
