Goldman Sachs announced on Thursday that it had named 109 new partners, the largest class since 2010 and an increase from 95 in 2024, for a group set to take effect on January 1, 2027. Unlike its 2024 announcement, the bank did not provide the customary breakdown of the partners by gender and race. A Goldman executive told Reuters that the changing legal climate influenced the decision to withhold the figures, while maintaining that workforce diversity remains important to the bank’s business. About 85% of the newcomers work in revenue-generating businesses, Reuters reported. This comes as US companies increasingly avoid diversity disclosures and the Trump administration challenges certain corporate diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
