Germany and NVIDIA Expand AI Partnership With a $10 Billion Commitment

On October 19, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang signed a joint declaration of intent on industrial AI in Berlin at the Invest in Germany Summit, committing Merz’s government, the economy and research ministries, and NVIDIA to a joint initiative on advanced physical AI models. The declaration formalizes and expands NVIDIA’s existing work with Germany’s Industry 4.0 Platform; industrial AI applies machine learning to factories, robots, and other physical equipment using production and quality data. NVIDIA announced a commitment of nearly $10 billion for European companies, universities, and research institutions, and said it plans new investments in German startups Agile Robots, Avelios Medical, Mirelo, and Reflex Aerospace.
