Gate Releases Latest Proof of Reserves Report: Total Reserves Rise to $8.688B, Overall Reserve Ratio Reaches 118.49%

On October 18, 2026, cryptocurrency platform Gate released Proof of Reserves data showing total reserves of $8.688 billion, up 5.7% from the prior period, against $7.332 billion in customer net balances. Its overall reserve ratio rose to 118.49% from 117.26%. For BTC, user holdings were 21,156 BTC and platform reserves 25,727 BTC, a 121.60% coverage ratio; for ETH, the figures were 362,785 ETH and 449,042 ETH, or 123.78%. The report covers 500 cryptocurrencies and uses zero-knowledge proofs, Merkle Tree structures, wallet ownership proofs, and balance snapshots to let users independently verify reserves; Gate reports more than 62 million users worldwide.
