Fifth 500 BTC batch of 2026 leaves Clifton Collins-linked wallets for Coinbase

On Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026, Coinbase received another 500 bitcoin, valued at about $41 million, from wallets that Arkham labels as linked to Irish convicted drug dealer Clifton Collins, the fifth such transfer in 2026. Collins used money from cannabis trafficking to buy roughly 6,000 BTC in 2011 and 2012 and divided the coins into 12 wallets of 500 BTC each. The transfer brings the total moved from Collins-linked wallets this year to 2,500 BTC, leaving about 3,500 BTC, worth roughly $288 million, in other addresses. Irish police confirmed a seizure in March, and Arkham believes law enforcement was behind Tuesday’s move, but no agency has confirmed that.
