Dormant Bitcoin Wallet Awakens After 10.7 Years As 500 BTC Value Jumps 212x

A Bitcoin wallet that had been inactive for 10.7 years sent 500 BTC, valued at $41.54 million, to a Coinbase Prime deposit address on Tuesday evening, Whale Alert flagged. Arkham Intelligence attributed the wallet to Clifton Collins, an Irish cannabis cultivator and former Dublin beekeeper who reportedly accumulated about 6,000 BTC in late 2011 and early 2012 across 12 wallets of 500 BTC each. The transfer was the fifth Collins-linked 500 BTC movement in 2026, bringing the year’s total to 2,500 BTC; Irish authorities had recovered 500 BTC in March and made further recoveries in May and July. Coinbase Prime provides institutional trading and custody, and the transaction did not establish whether the Bitcoin was sold or who initiated it.
