House of Doge Inc. and its Texas subsidiary must remove Doge from their corporate names by Dec. 31, 2026, as part of unwinding an exclusive trademark deal with the Dogecoin Foundation, per an Oct. 23 SEC filing. The exclusive license was mutually terminated Oct. 19, ending exclusivity, sub-licensing rights and titles such as Official Corporate Arm and Official Commercial Partner. A new non-exclusive license covers three 21Shares products through Oct. 19, 2029, and the subsidiary agreed to pay a $400,000 termination fee when it has funds. Dogecoin Labs launched Oct. 21 as the Foundation’s official commercial partner under CEO Jordan Jefferson. CEO Marco Margiotta and CFO Charles Park resigned Oct. 22, with McQueen Labs chief Curt Hopkins as interim replacement.
