CZ Urges iPhone Users to Update iOS Amid DarkSword Threat

Changpeng Zhao, Binance’s co-founder, on November 6 urged iPhone users on X to install the latest iOS updates amid warnings that the DarkSword exploit can steal crypto wallet information through compromised websites. The attack can expose sensitive device data without victims connecting a wallet or approving a transaction, and is delivered through malicious sites opened in Safari. Researcher Officer’s Notes reported about $5.57 million in crypto stolen through the vulnerability, with more than 18 websites distributing the malicious code. Apple patched all six vulnerabilities in the known exploit chain, but the researcher said older code parts remain reusable, including a version with a function targeting imToken wallets.
