Coinbase and HTX Among Six Crypto Platforms Facing Restrictions in Kazakhstan

On September 15, the Astana International Financial Center (AIFC) Court granted claims by the Astana Financial Services Authority (AFSA) against operators of BingX, Bitcoin.com, Huobi Global (HTX), BitMart, Coinbase and WEEX. The order bars the six unlicensed platforms from providing, offering or advertising digital asset services within the AIFC without a required license and covers mobile apps for those services. LBank was initially included but was removed on September 18 after its operator independently blocked access in Kazakhstan. Google and Apple, which run the app stores, are subject to the order on geographic access restrictions. AFSA said it warned more than 20 platforms in 2025 and took continued unlicensed operators to court in early 2026.
