ChangeNOW moves from simple swap tool toward crypto super app as it courts wallet builders at Token2049

ChangeNOW, which began operating in 2017, is expanding beyond cryptocurrency swaps by adding wallet, loan and trading features and planning payment cards as it works toward a single platform for buying, keeping and paying with digital assets. Pauline Shangett, its chief strategy officer, described the shift at Token2049. The company also supplies infrastructure to more than 5,000 partners through an API, offering swaps, custody, liquidity, loans, payment services and wallet infrastructure, and gives early-stage wallet companies free access through its Fast-Track program. Licensing remains a challenge as new features face market restrictions; ChangeNOW limits access in sanctioned or unsafe jurisdictions and markets where it lacks permissions, refunds transactions from restricted markets and blocks originating IP addresses while seeking further licenses.
