Cardano Card, a Visa-based cryptocurrency payment card operated through a partnership between Cardano and Wirex, announced it will discontinue card services on October 31, 2026, with cards remaining usable through that date. The company tied the shutdown to Wirex’s shift to a non-custodial model and its termination of custodial infrastructure, ending the two firms’ collaboration; it said the card product itself did not have functionality problems.
