Canva announced a restructuring of 1,271 roles, equal to 22% of its global workforce, in a staff note from co-founder and CEO Melanie Perkins on Wednesday. The plan combines job cuts with new roles for some employees and relocations to central hubs; Perkins did not specify how many people would lose jobs. She said Canva’s growth had slowed for the first time in a decade and that the company would combine its Product, Growth and Platform units, reduce management layers and make Sydney the main base for more product teams. In August, Canva reduced its 2026 revenue growth forecast to 20% from 30%, and investor Blackbird cut its valuation by 17%, from $42 billion to $34.9 billion.
