BNB Chain activated the Jenner hardfork on its BSC Testnet today, introducing three upgrades. Its main feature, Payment Lane under BEP-703, reserves 5% of each block’s gas for eligible payments so simple BNB wallet transfers are not crowded out by general activity; those transfers qualify automatically, while stablecoins must be added by governance, and the approved list currently has no entries. The hardfork also lets smart contracts read block timestamps to the millisecond under BEP-706 and includes code for the CAS20 token standard under BEP-702, though CAS20 issuance needs separate activation. BNB Chain said mainnet timing will be announced separately, and two of the three features require further governance activation.
