Bloomberg, Susquehanna International Group and Jump Trading have bought paid access to a Truth Social feed of Donald Trump’s posts, with the service costing up to $100,000 a month. Susquehanna and Jump are high-frequency trading firms using automated, algorithm-driven strategies, and the feed, called Truth API, was announced in July by Trump Media and Technology Group, which owns Truth Social; an API connects software systems. Critics call the arrangement unethical, and Intercept Media and the Freedom of the Press Foundation sued Trump in August seeking to bar the White House from using Truth Social as its sole announcement channel while the feed operates, arguing paid access to government information may be unconstitutional.
