Blast, an Ethereum layer-2 network, shut down its chain on Nov. 4, 2026, and launched a site for users to reclaim leftover funds. Users have until Nov. 4, 2027, to file claims for ETH or USD held in a Blast wallet, a pending withdrawal or the Blast Mobile app, with payouts made from recovery contracts on Ethereum mainnet. Blast announced the wind-down on Oct. 2, citing operating costs that exceeded the chain’s revenue, and made Oct. 26 the final day for withdrawals through its usual interface. The Ethereum bridge tied to Blast held about $6.51 million on Nov. 3, down from roughly $41.04 million on Oct. 26; the figure represents funds left in the bridge, not amounts users had recovered.
