Bitwise raised its 2036 Bitcoin price target to $1.6 million from $1.3 million, increasing the projected compound annual growth rate to 34.3% from 28.3%. The firm made the change in its updated Long-Term Capital Market Assumptions report, where CIO Matt Hougan and Head of Research Ryan Rasmussen applied the same model to latest market and economic data. The higher target followed a more than 50% Bitcoin decline between October 2025 and June 2026 to below $59,000; Bitwise raised its estimates for the store-of-value market to $110 trillion from $91 trillion and the institutional investment market to $303 trillion from $216 trillion, while keeping its assumptions for Bitcoin’s market share unchanged.
